Well here we go on this project for your halls and i need some imput, So come on bring it on. I decided to start with a mural that pays hommage to Magaret Kilgallen and her use of type and simplified imagery. What was so important to her was how certain hand produced signage could communicate with the public and how in an age where everything is produced on a computer, the smallest imperfection that comes from ones hand can lead to something bigger and better. She loved hand made type and printing press fonts and the use of color to convey emotion. The phrases she would use came from Surf lingo, country music terms, train hobo slang, monikers. She was very much ahead of her time and influenced many before her tragic death. TRUST your instincts, learn from your mistakes, take on big projects, let imperfections lead you in another direction, and of all things dont be so damn affraid to fail.. TRUST in your creative talent and let others see it..
In a world flooded with information, ways to help you take a minute to see the things you took for granted, open you up.
